Hi Michael – it is true that visiting Australia or just going out to Australia to find work can be both a risk, and can also increase your chance of finding employer sponsorship in Australia. However, I do understand that not everyone is comfortable taking this risk – particularly if they have a family.

Yes, many people have found sponsorship before heading out to Australia; however I do recommend that you be open to visiting Australia, at least for interview purposes; as employers may more likely consider you if you show your seriousness by going out to meet them in person.

Our new eGuide will give you all the different strategies that have worked for others when apply for employer sponsorship from overseas; as well as details of other strategies such as making a visit out to Australia as part of your sponsored job search. Find out more by clicking here.

    All the best!

    Hi Nadine,
I am an Irish accountant who is very interested in relocating to Perth.
Agencies tell me to come out first and then start looking, I would much rather
Have a job to go too as I am married with a young family.
Is it possible to find sponsored employment from abroad in finance/accountancy?
