QLD State Migration Plan Announced – Prepare For the Worst

QLD Australia 400x359 QLD State Migration Plan Announced Prepare For the Worst

If you have been patiently waiting for the QLD State Migration Plan to be announced, you will be very disappointed if you are looking to apply for a permanent or temporary visa. Unless of course you are a medical professional, engineer, ICT Business Analyst (among a couple of other occupational groups) .

Due to the increased interest in QLD over the past few years as an ideal location for new migrants to Australia, QLD is no longer experiencing a severe skills shortage – good news for QLD, but bad news for people seeking work opportunities in Australia.

VIC and NSW used to be the two most popular places to migrate to in Australia, and it is amazing to see the change in preference.

QLD isn’t the only State that has experienced increased popularity. South Australia, once a small city with a large skills shortage, is now also experiencing an influx of skilled professionals and therefore do not have as many opportunities available for would-be migrants.

Perth has also increased majorly in popularity, although is still experiencing a skills shortage, and many businesses in Perth are well rehersed in sponsoring overseas nationals and therefore very open to it.

Other States and Territories, such as ACT and NT, seem to be experiencing the greatest skills shortage, being less popular than the other States. This means that these two States are ideal for targeting for migration.

Back to QLD State Sponsorship, the following are the only occupations that are currently eligible for Permanent Visas / State Sponsorship in Queensland:
