At 40 years of age, Richard had initially made an application for a GSM visa based on his skills as a Landscape Gardener (in March/April 2009).  However, in late 2009, the DIAC made announcements that they were temporarily postponing the processing of many visas, including Richard’s, which forced him to take a different approach.
